The activities in the Center for Systems Microbiology (CSM) range from systems biology on simple homogeneous bacterial cultures to man-microbe interactions and a central common focus area is systems biology of microbial infections. CSM has a highly recognized knowledge base in physiology and genetics including molecular genetics, metabolic engineering and culturing techniques and a strong expertise in genomics, proteomics and metabolomics. CSM’s strongholds are bio-imaging of bacterial consortia and interactions in biofilms and experimental control analysis and systems biology of bacterial model (see research). |
